Meet the Artist:
Hi I’m IZZI. The creative mind behind NeuroNomadStudios.
I’ve always been an artist, and I will always be an artist whether I share it, sell it or hoard it. My dream is to share my art with the world and to bring my privilege to visit beautiful places to the people who can’t make it there. To bring as much joy with my drawings, painting or clay figures that I got while making them. Making art is my joy and relaxation, on the other hand marketing and selling it is my nightmare. I’m trying to push thru because I firmly believe I make art worth showing to others.
Living with undiagnosed AuDHD until 40 has made life interesting and complicated. Due to my deep depression and anxiety it took me 9 yrs to get my BFAs but I finally got them in Fine Art Photography and Fiber Arts.
While living in Texas I met my husband and started my family at 29 yrs old. My bonus son, my husband and I all really struggled with public school so when our kids were born we started looking for other ways. We started Unschooling and decided that we would sacrifice money for me to stay home and focus on them. Soon after my youngest was born we started looking for our forever home and moved cross country 3 times in 6 yrs. We finally landed in our hopefully forever home of Sacramento, California.
15 yrs after starting my little family, my kids are older and more self sufficient I’ve decided it’s time to share the art I’ve made over the last 20 yrs while also sharing the art I’m still making. In these uncertain economic times I would love to make money thru my art, but more importantly I would love to build a community of like minded or at minimum open minded, queer and neurodivergent friendly art lovers to extend my family to chosen family.
I feel pretty strongly family is who you chose not who is your blood as my family of origin is no longer in my life due to abuse.
Other things I feel strongly about are: punching nazis in the face and protecting trans youth. I’m against rotten orange kings and all billionaires. POC and women should not only be treated equally but better than the White men that have suppressed them since the beginning of America. Marriage Equality and racism shouldn’t even be an issue today and yet now is more important than ever to talk about it and educate yourself more.

As a studio and shop I focus on hand designed art and nature photography. I’m still working on getting my shop and webpage in order. My current works can be found on instagram and thread. I have nature photography, digital drawings made it to a variety of products.
I published Color Thru Time, a coloring book and fill in calendar, to not only share a relaxing coloring page but also to focus on non traditional American Holidays and help people organize their months as I struggle with that myself.
